Psychology today defines happiness as a state of well-being that encompasses living a good life - that is with a sense of meaning and deep satisfaction. Whenever you are happy, there is a feeling of excitement that comes with it. When you are really happy, it shows through every thing you do. Wearing a smile doesn't really show that you are happy because anyone who is not actually happy can smile as soon as something that amuses him happens. The best definition of happiness I can you is this; happiness is the moment you feel excited, joy and motivated to carry on with your life despite being surrounded with obstacles. This is real happiness because it comes from within and not from outside.  It is necessary for you to know that material things does not bring lasting  happiness. Lasting happiness comes from within. What can bring happiness to our lives

One of the things that can bring happiness to your  life is by doing what you love. When you are doing what you love, you will always feel happy with yourself than when you are doing what you do not  love or  what you are forced to do.  There is no way you can be happy when you are  doing what you don't love maybe because of money or to please someone. Again, happiness comes from following ones passion. Each and every one of us have passions for different things. What i have passion for may not be the same thing you have passion for and when you follow that line of endeavor, it brings happiness to your life. So your work should be to find out  what you have passion for and follow that line of endeavor. Finally, happiness comes from living a meaningful life.
